Our mission
Temp Mail exists to give every person on the internet a fast, free, friction-free way to receive email without giving up their real inbox. We think privacy should be the default, not a paid feature, and that the simple act of trying a tool, downloading a template or claiming a free trial shouldn't cost you years of marketing spam.
Why we exist
The modern web runs on email gates. Want to read an article? Email. Want to download a template? Email. Want to try a tool for five minutes to see if it solves your problem? Email — plus a fourteen-day countdown to the moment you forgot to cancel. Every one of those tiny exchanges leaves a permanent breadcrumb behind: your real address, attached to a company you may never interact with again, sold or leaked into one of the world's many data-broker pipelines.
We got tired of cleaning up after the internet. We wanted a one-click way to hand over a working inbox, get the link or the file or the receipt we needed, and have the whole thing disappear without a trace. So we built Temp Mail — and we made it free, because the people who need it most are the ones least able to pay for privacy.
What we believe
- Privacy is the default, not a feature. You shouldn't have to enable a setting or upgrade a plan to keep your real address private.
- Free should mean free. No "lite" version, no surprise paywall after the third inbox, no upsell pop-ups in the corner.
- If we don't collect it, we can't lose it. No accounts, no profiles, no analytics tied to who you are personally.
- Fast beats fancy. An inbox should appear in under a second and update in real time. Everything else is a distraction.
- Zero cost, truly free. The service runs on ultra-efficient edge infrastructure. We show unobtrusive ads to cover running costs — no subscriptions, no data selling, ever.
How the product works
When you open Temp Mail we generate a random email address on one of our owned domains. The address starts receiving mail immediately and the inbox updates in real time as new messages arrive. Each inbox has a short expiry timer — usually around ten minutes — after which the address is unregistered and every message ever delivered to it is permanently deleted.
Who we are
We're a small, independent team of engineers and designers who care about boring software done well. We don't have a sales department because there is nothing to sell to you. We don't have a growth team because we don't do growth hacks. We just keep the service running, the inboxes wiping and the people who actually use it (you) firmly in control of their real inbox.
How Temp Mail stays free
Temp Mail runs on Cloudflare's global edge network — one of the most cost-efficient infrastructures on the planet. Because we store nothing permanently, keep no user accounts, and run no heavy servers, the operational cost per user is tiny. We display unobtrusive ads via Google AdSense to cover infrastructure costs — this is what allows us to keep the entire product free, accountless and forever-anonymous for every user worldwide. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't profile you. We don't read your messages. We don't keep them after they expire. We don't share your personal information with advertisers. We don't make you watch a video before you can use the product. We don't ask you to "create an account to continue" — because the whole point is that you shouldn't have to.
